ABOUT US

From the first time I stepped into a kart, I knew I wanted a custom painted lid. It was a way to show personality, stand out, and make the helmet feel truly mine. But like a lot of things in racing, it came down to budget, and getting one professionally painted just wasn’t on the table.
During the 2023 off season, I started thinking, why not try it myself? I spent months diving into research, learning everything I could about the process. Turns out, painting a helmet is extremely technical and takes a ton of time. I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but I was determined to give it a shot. I spent my entire winter practicing on old helmets and It was rough at first, but after a couple more months and with the 2024 season around the corner, I ordered a brand new Arai GP6 and went for it.
To my surprise, it turned out way better than I expected. And I realized I actually really enjoyed the process! After a lot of thought, I decided to start NH Designs, a way for me to keep painting, stay involved in the sport I love, and help other drivers bring their ideas to life.
